There are basically 4 types of deck stain opacities:

It asks for a reapplication in 3-4 years of time.

• Solid Deck Stains: They are recommended best for hiding the imperfections of your deck. Wear and tear is natural after years of exposure. Solid Deck stains will work on them. Wood grain will not be visible with solid deck stains. Reapplication is advised every 5 years.
